The world is changing and with the way new technology and advancements have been upcoming and rising a new form of transportation is here. It is something most people have feared for years and a change that frankly puts a lot of people just like you at risk. Self-Driving Trucks.
The Company Uber recently announced that Semi Trucks that are self-driving will be strictly on highways in Arizona. Since May of 2017, the announcement stated that there are licensed human drivers behind the wheel ready to take over in case of emergency. The ultimate end goal is to ultimately eliminate all humans from being behind the wheel.
The main question everyone is asking is what will happen in a major accident? Who will be at fault and held responsible for their actions.
Uber unfortunately will not release much information on the topic except for the fact that they are working strictly on maintaining safe technology Trucks for the highway only. The only thing I am certain of is in an accident with one of these trucks Uber is going to be held responsible. I hope and pray that this will not take over putting people’s lives at risk.
