Fun at Ski Resort Turns Deadly
Winter comes around once a year, and when it does people take full advantage of the heavy snow and break out the skis, sleds, and snowboards. Many people love to travel to local ski resorts, expecting to have a fun day with family and friends. Although most ski resorts offer many trails, some dangerous for most inexperienced riders, most people wouldn’t expect their ski lift that they ride on to the trails would malfunction causing a life-threatening situation.
A ski Resort in Georgia had a horrible gut wrenching incident where one of their ski lifts started to malfunction, increasing speed and would not stop. The lift was filled with many riders who were almost killed from having to jump off and forcefully thrown off by the lift itself. There are many videos that can be found of skiers/snowboarders that were catapulted off the lift and almost crushed in between carts.
Many questions arise as in was it a mechanical failure, and or how did someone not shut off the lift? This incident should have never happened under the supervision of the resort. Who knows if there will be a reason as to why this incident happened. It is safe to say that most of the time companies will not take responsibility for their actions, and try to cover up the truth to save them from being exposed. Not just ski resorts but any type of amusement parks can have a deadly situation occur due to the wrongful malfunction and testing of certain rides.
