A couple years ago I had the pleasure of speaking to about 100 students at Chagrin Falls High School. The questions were insightful and well thought out. But what really impressed me was that the following week I received a good dozen thank you notes.

This took me by surprise as I didn’t think high school kids knew how to write cursive, or what postage stamps were. One young lady told me that she was having a tough relationship with her mom. She heard me talk about being honest in all things and tried that with her mother and they were enjoying a wonderful relationship. A young man told me that he wasn’t doing too well on the soccer team. When he heard me say hard work beats talent that doesn’t work hard, he applied that principal and consequently was enjoying some real success on the soccer field.

So, when Jim Kukral approached me about writing a book about my life, I thought maybe I should because hopefully some of the real life stories contained therein would inspire people to become a bigger success than they ever dreamt possible.
