By making this information public, they hope to identify and penalize those who do illegally pass. Their goal, however, isn’t to increase arrests. It’s to change behavior, and it finally seems to be proving effective.
Of the nearly 1300 people who perished in the past decade due to this type of accident, nearly 300 of them were schoolchildren. This is appalling and unacceptable. As members of a community, we all need to work together to help protect our children. You can help keep our children safe by:

- Never passing on the right of the bus
- Being prepared to yield if the bus is flashing yellow lights
- Obeying all posted speed limits
