Most if not all law firms engage additional counsel when it is in the client’s best interest.  For instance, if a lawyer has a specific practice area experience that will add value to the case, we may, with the client’s express knowledge and approval, engage that lawyer.  If another attorney is brought in there would be no additional cost to the client.  Oftentimes there will be fee sharing  among the lawyers that not only has to be disclosed to the client, but is approved in writing by the client.  In any co-counsel relationship, Tim Misny remains intimately involved in the entirety of the case.
