New Pedestrian Bridge Collapses at Florida International University – Multiple Injuries and Deaths
There are many college campuses across America and many young students trying to better themselves every day. A pedestrian bridge at Florida International University collapsed last week injuring and killing multiple students. The bridge was still under construction, connecting the university campus going over the highway making an easier path for students to take.
There were no comments from staff at the university handling and speaking for their behalf on what exactly happened, one woman did however state “We are shocked and saddened about the tragic events unfolding at the FIU-Sweetwater pedestrian bridge. At this time, we are still involved in rescue efforts and gathering information. We are working closely with authorities and first responders on the scene. We will share updates as we have them.”
It is such a shame for any catastrophic event to take place like this on innocent student lives. These types of injuries/events occur every day to average people out of their control.
