I created the “Make Misny Pay” Scholarship as a way to inspire and assist a new generation of advocates for the injured victim.
In my 33 years of representing victims of birth injuries, medical malpractice, and catastrophic injuries, I know in my heart of hearts that there is no more noble profession than being a personal injury lawyer. It is very clear that in countless instances, injured victims, without the help of an experienced advocate, would have absolutely no chance at justice.
After receiving a plethora of applications from students ranging from high school freshmen to third-year law students, I am happy to announce the winners of the “Make Misny Pay” Scholarship.
The winners, each receiving $2,500 toward their education, are John Henry Posey and Brittany Shumar of Villa Angela St. Joseph High School, and Alyssa Wheeler and Kelly Donovan of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
It is my hope and prayer that these wonderful individuals will not only join my profession in the next couple of years, but more importantly, once they do achieve that status, will effectuate positive change for decades to come.
Selecting these four individuals from an impressive list of wonderful students was a most difficult process.
It is my intention to take John, Brittany, Alyssa, and Kelly under my wing and give them encouragement and guidance for years to come.
